The House
A house built on subtraction.
We are a young house with an old temperament. Forty drafts of one silhouette before the first was ever sold.
ELANÉ began with a fitting room and a frustration.
Our founder had spent an afternoon in Dubai looking for one abaya — not an occasion piece, not a novelty, simply one very good abaya she could wear to a client meeting and then to dinner. She found embellishment where she wanted line. She found imported labels that had never considered how a garment behaves at forty-two degrees. She found price tags that promised luxury and seams that did not.
She went home and drew a single silhouette. Then she drew it again, forty times, until the shoulder fell exactly where it should and the hem moved the way she wanted it to move when she walked.
That drawing became the Sofia — the first ELANÉ abaya, and still the piece every new design is measured against.
What we hold to
We work in Korean Nida and Japanese crepe because they hold their shape and their colour. We keep our collections small because editing is the work. And we design in Dubai — a city that has never accepted that heritage and modernity must be opposites — because that contradiction is exactly what we are made of.
We market to a woman’s taste, never to her obligation. Modesty is a language of elegance in our work, not a rule being observed.
Timeless modesty. Modern elegance. Not a slogan. A brief we hold ourselves to.
